NOW: The National Organization for Women (NOW) is the largest feminist organization in the United States. It was founded in 1966 and has a membership of 500,000 contributing members and 5987 chapters in all 50 U.S. states and the District Of Columbia. “The purpose of NOW is to take action to bring women into full participation in the mainstream of American society now, exercising all privileges and responsibilities thereof in truly equal partnership with men.” That is the definition of NOW. So why did they not defend Sarah Palin when David Letterman made vicious attacks against her and her family?  Where are they now that David Letterman is involved in a sex scandal ? Why didn’t they defend Cindy McCain when a unknown source was saying things about her past ? This organization supports Obama’s health care. That’s not helping women! If you look at their site you will see they are against conservatives, They back Sen. Ted Kennedy a man that killed a woman. And this is an organization that is supposed to help women. With a track record like this the women’s movement will go backwards. Progress is a forward movement.
